Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read. My name is Luna, aka @LunaxBaby on All Things Worn. I am 18 years old, a student and a non-nudity seller that focuses mostly on feet and physical items.
I have been the top seller of the week a few times, and I have been the top seller of the month in February and March. I’ve been on All Things Worn for about 4 months now and I have over 90 Reviews. I wanted to share with you all a little bit about my experiences becoming more confident in my body. I feel we should all have the opportunity to speak freely about our insecurities or things we are proud of!
I’ve been quite insecure since I was little, becoming comfortable in your own body does not happen overnight. When I was a child I used to struggle with body image being the “fat” friend. I remember being a little girl never wearing tight clothes because I was scared my belly would show through a tank top or I was going to get bullied.
As I've grown older, the insecurities are still there, but there are many days when I feel beautiful in my own skin. High school was the hardest for me. Trying to understand my style, and how much makeup I should put on to hide my acne. But today, I know that I don't need makeup to feel beautiful, I know how to dress myself and I've found my style.
For me, I feel the most confident and productive when I wear makeup, which is okay! I’ve always gotten “Why do you wear so much makeup? You look better without makeup.” But honestly, It makes me confident! So I do it.
Self-acceptance is one of the many things we must work on as humans. Your age doesn’t matter, there is always something you’d want to change about yourself. But on the path of confidence, you must accept the things that you are unable to change.
If you feel like wearing makeup to feel beautiful DO IT! If you feel like comfortable clothes make you feel beautiful DO IT!! Whatever you desire, put your own confidence and self-acceptance first.
We must remember that there is so much stigma around people’s looks these days. “You’re too skinny, You’re too fat, You have too much acne, That hair colour doesn’t look good on you” I’m sure we’ve all heard negative comments about ourselves at least once. People will judge us no matter what we do. We work so hard to make ourselves feel beautiful and when we finally do, someone tries to bring us down.
Apparently nowadays, being confident and happy in your own skin is called being cocky or self-centred, which is never the case. You don’t have to love everything about yourself to feel beautiful. You don’t have to start wearing short skirts and crop tops to feel beautiful. You don’t have to load on a bunch of makeup to feel beautiful. You can feel beautiful by starting with looking at yourself in the mirror and saying “wow I really like my eyes” THAT is a start!
Remember, we don’t live forever so becoming the person you feel most comfortable with, is what you should do! Ignore the negative people in your life, and spread the love!
All Things Worn has boosted my confidence in so many ways. People have been extremely nice and there is nothing but support on this site. I feel comfortable showing my true self, which is not something that has ever happened to me on any social media sites.
This site is such a welcoming and kind environment and not only has it helped my confidence, but it has also helped me learn about my likes, dislikes, and fetishes. ATW has also expanded my knowledge of the kinky side of the world.
Sometimes I do have doubts though, especially when I started on this site. I felt like my boundaries were being pushed and I thought “I have to post nudes for people to think I’m beautiful” But I WAS WRONG!! You never have to do anything you’re uncomfortable with to feel beautiful. Only step outside your comfort zone if you’ve thought it over.
As I've mentioned before, becoming confident is not a simple thing. It’s the next step after accepting yourself and your body. There are things we can’t change about ourselves and we must make peace with that.
We have to do things we feel comfortable doing and take small steps to feel good. Surround yourself with people who don’t bring you down, and people who make you happy. Self-confidence is just a step to a happy, and productive lifestyle.
Please remember to spread love, and be kind to people that are around you, because you never know what someone is going through. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a great day! x
