⚠️ Addiction… (🧦SOCK SELLERS, please read)

I’ve quit a lot of things cold turkey over the years. Cigarettes. Vaping. Drinking. Junk food. Sugar. Social media. Truly all of it. (Okay… some sugar still.)

But there’s one single thing I have never been able to truly quit after countless attempts: worn socks.

It started mid pandemic when I first discovered buying worn items was even a thing. One single curious purchase. One single experience. The moment I held that first pair up to my face and inhaled for the first time…

it hit me like a neurochemical bomb.

Her scent was strong, rich, with a perfect harmony of notes and sensations that intoxicated me. The entire universe screamed at me: “YES.” In that very moment, a new addiction was born. One that has genuinely shaped a big part of my life.

If you sell worn socks, just know this: you might be giving someone this same “first time” experience. If the chemistry lines up, that single moment can be life changing in ways you may not have known before. I’m not saying don’t. In fact, quite the opposite. I’m just sharing my story, as you should know how much power you have. It’s a beautiful thing.

(Six years after starting, I have accepted who I am and no longer try to “quit” 😊)

Having a very rare relapse moment, coming back here for old times sake...

Thinking about that moment when I cut open that vacuum sealed package, hear the air break and release the socks, take them out, feel the soaking wet socks, and hold them up to my face to inhale and feel that sensation that nothing else has ever touched... God, this will never go away no matter how long I abstain.
