For a long time, I thought confidence was something you earned after you changed your body. Lose weight first. Tone up first. Be smaller, quieter.

I was wrong.

Confidence didn’t arrive when my body changed, it arrived when I stopped apologising for taking up space.

Being a plus size woman has taught me a lot about how people see bodies, especially women’s bodies. Some look away. Some stare. Some project their assumptions onto you without ever asking who you are. And then there are those who see softness, curves, warmth, presence and understand that attraction doesn’t come in one size.

I didn’t wake up one day magically confident. It was built slowly, through learning my body, and realising it carries me through real days, real routines, real moments.

When you’re comfortable in your body, even the smallest details start to feel personal — the way fabric sits, how something holds warmth, how everyday wear becomes part of a story rather than something disposable. I think that’s why authenticity matters. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is performative. What’s shared comes from real life, not an idea of what a body should be.

I don’t hide myself here. I don’t shrink my language or soften my edges to make others more comfortable. What you see is what you get: a woman who knows her body, respects it, and enjoys expressing herself through it.

Confidence for me isn’t about being flawless. It’s about being present. About allowing myself to be seen without explaining or justifying why I deserve that visibility.

If you’re someone who appreciates authenticity, softness paired with strength, and a woman who is at ease in her own skin, then you’ll probably understand my space here.

And if not, that’s okay too. Confidence also means knowing you don’t have to be for everyone.

Be unapologetically you 🩷

Bustybabes1976 Thankyou this really resonates with me I’ve been plus size all my adult life and it definitely brings it’s challenges but here I feel empowered confident and really ok in my own skin ❤️

Natasha8215 The live and support has given me the confidence to make more blogs . That empowers all women . Watch this space

Gothiccurves666 This really resonated with me. That line about confidence arriving when you stopped apologising for taking up space? That’s powerful. So many women are taught to shrink first and exist second. There’s something incredibly magnetic about a woman who understands her body and moves through the world without asking permission. Softness and strength absolutely can exist together. Authenticity always stands out here. You can feel the difference between someone performing and someone simply being. Keep taking up space. The right people always notice. 🖤

Natasha8215 All you ladies are beautiful ❤️❤️

Joybug Yess! Being on here has opened up a new appreciation for what I usually try to hide, the guys that love curves and a little belly. Healing something in me photographing parts of myself I’ve always hated for someone to adore 🥰

PorcelainWitch23 As someone who was almost 200 lbs at 5'1" just last year, I loved my curves. I will miss my round perky breasts. I enjoyed gaining some weight to a degree. Curves are beautiful! 💗

Natasha8215 Just woke up from a nap , thank you for the love ❤️
