3 Day Athletic Challenge — Worn Socks (Size 40)

Three days. Three disciplines. Same pair throughout.
Day 1 — two hours of BMX through the city. Streets, manuals, bunny hops, nose bonks, tight alleys. Warm evening, stopped every 30 minutes to tighten laces and let the heat build.
Day 2 — XC mountain bike trail ride. Chain oil made contact during this session. Left a faint metallic edge that stayed through day three.
Day 3 — 30km longboard commute across two cities. Dropped a parcel on the way, sk*ted there, around the city, then back. Three hours. Shoes with zero airflow, laced tight on purpose. The smell was coming through the shoes while still moving.
Stored sealed between every session. No airing out until the end.
Toe and heel took the most wear — fabric darkened, gone stiff in those areas. Top of the foot stayed softer. The original grey is mostly gone from the sole, replaced by trail dust, sweat, and chain oil residue. Smell is intense, salty, organic with a metallic edge. Crispy where it counts.
Dried to lock the smell in. Shipped double sealed, taped on both bags.
