15km to the next city, around it, then 15km back. Three hours total, cloudy and windy, felt like rain the whole time but never came.

Laced these shoes tighter than usual today — no airflow through the mesh, no cooling, just heat building up with every push. Feet started hurting halfway through but that was the point. Let it bake.

These socks have now been through a BMX street session, an XC trail ride and a 30km longboard commute across two cities. The grey from Day 1 is gone. They're crispy, slightly oily and metalic from Day 2's chain, trail dust still sitting in the fabric. The smell hit me outside the shoes while I was still moving.

That's the three days done.

Chain snapped 30 minutes in. Tried to race someone off an intersection and pushed it too hard. Spent the next hour scooting home on the pedal — one foot on, one foot pushing. Not what I planned but more of a workout than expected.

Got home and pressed the broken chain into the sock. Felt right.

First night in the ziplock they were still damp when I opened the bag this morning. Going into night two now. Smell is the same as day 1 but stronger and more concentrated.

One day left. Longboard tomorrow. Listing drops after. 👀

Added a new photo > Two hours on the streets tonight. Started at the local skatepark to warm up, did a few tricks, then headed out when it turned empty. Spent the rest of the session hitting the city — manuals, bunny hops, bump jumps, nose bonks, tight alleys, whatever was there.
Stopped every 30 minutes or so to grab water and tighten my laces. Warm evening, light breeze, just enough to keep moving without overheating.
These are the socks going into the challenge. No brand, size 39-42, grey crew. Right now they're dusty from the streets, slightly damp, not soaked. Smell is salty and organic — that specific kind of clean sweat you get from a good session in warm weather.
Day 2 is MTB. Same pair. 👀
