Sometimes the most unexpected choices lead to the biggest personal changes.
When I left my job, I found myself at a crossroads. I needed a fresh start, something that gave me flexibility and a sense of control over my own path. During that time of change, I discovered All Things Worn.
I have always thought that I’d be able to sell sex, however my confidence always held me back. At first, it was simply something new to explore.
What I didn’t expect was how much it would change the way I saw myself.
As a BBW woman, I had spent years carrying insecurities about my body. Like so many women, I had absorbed the idea that confidence belonged to those who fit a certain mould. You know, the slimmer, younger, more polished, more “acceptable” in society standards. I thought loving myself would come later, once I changed enough to deserve it.
But being part of this space challenged all of that. For the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to be seen exactly as I am. Curvy, soft, sensual, feminine, and real. And in doing so, I realised something powerful: there are people who genuinely appreciate women like me. Not despite my body, but because of it. That kind of acceptance can be life changing.
The more I embraced myself, the more my confidence began to grow. I stopped apologising for taking up space. I started appreciating the body I had spent too long criticising. I became bolder, more playful, and far more comfortable in my own skin.
It also brought a new spark into my marriage. My husband has always loved me, but seeing me step into my confidence has brought us even closer. He loves seeing me happy, desired, and thriving. There’s something deeply intimate about being with someone who celebrates your confidence and enjoys watching you shine.
Another unexpected gift has been a connection. I’ve made friendships, shared laughs, had genuine conversations, and met people who are kind, supportive, and uplifting. Community matters, especially when you’ve spent years feeling unseen.
Most importantly, it has helped my mental health. When you stop fighting yourself, life feels lighter. I’ve become kinder to myself, less weighed down by shame, and more present in the moment. Confidence doesn’t solve everything, but it changes the foundation you stand on.
Joining All Things Worn didn’t just give me something new to try. It helped me rediscover myself.
I’m more confident, more open, and more in love with the woman I am now than ever before. Sometimes the most surprising journeys are the ones that bring you home to yourself.
