Embracing ourselves in all ages but even more so in our 40’s and older.
What started out as a joke with my daughter months ago saying I should sell feet pictures--because honestly, I really do have cute/s**y feet for being “my age” ha-ha. I’m not even going to lie, when she said that I laughed so hard. But then the more we joked, over time, the more I threw around the idea in my mind, and after a lot of research and a deep conversation with my husband, we decided to take the leap and join.
I am 42 and when I say your forties change you, I freaking mean it! Somedays I’m like, “Okay, I’ve got this, my a**ets are still viable and look good.” Then other days I’m like, “You’re 42 Lilly, what are you thinking!? Who joins ATW and sells feet pictures and garments at my age? Am I having a midlife crisis?” And don’t get me wrong, so far it has been a great experience and we have been loving the interactions. But I was having a self-doubt kind of day after someone said to me that I was old, along with some other distasteful things and that I “Shouldn’t be on here.” Then of course, my mind was on that comment. I was scrolling on the thread and I hadn’t gotten any sales, and I began wondering if I’m being naive or stupid, saying to myself that I don’t have what these younger women have, maybe he was right, I am old.
My husband then said something that made me go, “Your right babe.” -- Few times does he hear that. He told me that I’m always saying how beautiful other women are no matter the age, color, or size, but then when it comes to myself, why can’t I do the same? Not everyone is the same and everyone has different likes; it really made me think and realize that he is a 100% right. He sees me naked and says he loves every inch of my body, and sure it may not look like it did when I was 25, but it has history.
I too was once 5 foot nothing with long dark thick hair, slim hourgla** waist, smaller b**bs, thick thighs, a behind, and had cute small feet, then I had children in my early 20’s; as us women know our beautiful bundles of joy can wreak havoc on our once beautiful bodies. Luckly, I was very active and bounced back from my size 180 to 120 pounds, and I was feeling myself again. I was still getting all doddle up to go out; the cute outfits, heals, underwear, makeup, wild nights and experiences, etc. Then, I got a bit older and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Ed. and photography, traveled, taught for 18 years, and continued to grow.
But the point being is, as we age things start changing, our children grow up, we become settled in our routines, job, hormones, medical, marriage (especially after 20 years or more), and life in general. We become comfortable and before we know it, we go from 20 to 42, 50’s, and 60’s, in what feels like a blink of an eye! And that once “perfect” little figure isn’t so perfect anymore. It’s hard as hell to keep the weight off, b**bs propped properly, bottom tight and firm, to keep all of our goodies intact. Yet we still work hard to keep up what with we have, and we should embrace ourselves in not only the “good” years but in our 40’s and older.
Unfortunately, because of history, us “older” women, 40 and over, sometimes are looked down upon. Sometimes people forget, just because we are a certain age, that doesn’t make us washed up--There are no moth balls in our panties. Us “older” women have kinks too, and embracing ourselves in all ages is important, but even more so in our 40’s and older. With age comes experience, and we should feel comfortable in our skin. We can do this, and if we still got it, then flaunt it; age is just but a number, and some women are lucky enough to age like fine wine.
At the end of the day, I believe beauty lies within the beholder and we as women are beautiful from all ages, skin, body type, boob size, booty and foot size. So don’t judge a house by its shutters because you never know the beauty that may be inside. We are all created differently and all of us have something to give, and the women on ATW have taught me that. Each of us are queens no matter the age and body type, and it honestly takes guts to put ourselves out there and do what we do. The long hours of back-and-forth messages, pictures, videos, clothes, accessories, posting content, paying subscriptions, and the list goes on—It’s literally a full-time job. On top of working daytime full time jobs, being mom’s, cooking, cleaning, and the daytime lists go on forever, but then we still make time to satisfy someone’s kinks and needs. That’s what I call a ‘superwoman’ with a side of naughty. So, ladies keep embracing yourselves and keep putting up your content. Not every day will be in a walk in the park and we may not always get sales, but with hard work and dedication we will continue to grow. And for those of you that don’t think women 40 and over shouldn’t be doing this, you’re wrong! We deserve to be treated as goddesses as well and we have a lot to offer if you just give us a chance.
