s** work has bettered my life in more than just adding money to my pocket.
I am disabled.
I physically can NOT work a “normal” job.
I started s** work at 18/19 because I was in a toxic home that I couldn’t get out of and I couldn’t afford medically needed items.
I ended up stopping then returning again briefly again at 22.
Now at 25, s** work is my FULL-time job...yes s** work is REAL work but so many people believe that’s not true…
So for any naysayer let me show you how s** work has been the best job and changed my world…
As I said, s** work for me has not only given me the ability to have money in my pockets to pay for medically NEEDED medication, but s** work has also given me the freedom and space to explore and love my unique body.
I am now able to afford groceries, I can afford what I need for my health, help provide for my family & with this money I hope to one day buy a tiny house of my dreams.
I spend a lot of my time working either on my phone or laptop of all hours of the night, even if that means I don’t get sleep, and whatever brief moments I have throughout the day.
It’s dealing with a lot of promoting yourself, endless typing, time wasters, knowing your worth, filming, editing & the endless tasks that come with it.
For me personally I run over 20 different accounts. That’s a lot of time and work. Let alone dedication.
The thing about s** work now is that it has become supersaturated due to social media. So now it’s even more important than ever to stick out.
Everyone is so different in their looks and that’s a beautiful thing.
You may find lots of beautiful other s** workers, maybe even some like me with bright colored hair and some tattoos and piercings….
How many s** workers have you seen with a feeding tube dangling from their stomach, medical bracing from head to toe, a wheelchair, or the scars from procedures and surgeries that kept me alive?
There was a point in time a handful of months ago where I was actually hosp*talized due to a tube I had placed to my heart through my chest getting infected. While hosp*talized I was still able to generate income with my platforms even though I wasn’t even creating content. Which was such a stress reliever, as then I was still able to afford my medically needed items and still help provide for my family even from a hosp*tal bed.
Being a s** worker has made me see the beauty in all the things that others once made me believe were “flaws”.
I have stretch marks from carrying two children, I have 2 thick c-section scars, I have a feeding tube which can’t really be hidden all the time. I’ve had tubes hanging out of my arms and neck & yet I’ve never felt more beautiful than I do now.
s** work I believe is about celebrating everyone’s individualities …and there is nothing more beautiful and hopeful than that for anyone else worried about their looks wanting to join the family of s** work.
s** work is the reason I’ve gained confidence
s** work is the reason food is on the table
s** work is the reason I can afford my heart medication
s** work is the reason I feel beautiful in my skin
