Whether you’ve been on this weird and wonderful site for 6 months or 6 years, you’ve more than likely questioned whether you’ve lost your ‘Mojo’. This thought usually occurs during a dip in sales, and it can really make you question whether you should give up. You question your ability as a seller, maybe you’re not attractive enough, and you even wonder how on earth you managed to make so many sales up to this point, only to now be struggling to even get close to making a sale. This causes you to become stressed, which, in my experience, causes you to try and rush conversations too quickly, which can turn buyers off. You become erratic and maybe write negative posts, which further turns buyers off. I’ve been there, believe me!
I’ve been on this site for 5 years, and I’ve seen many sellers with incredible potential leave because they listened to the voice that told them to give up. I believe that there are four main facets that enable a seller to be successful, and it’s your looks, your consistency, your marketing and the quality of your photos. I don’t believe that you can become a top seller if you’re only incredible at one of these facets. I’ve known sellers with an amazing body and high-quality photos, but they lacked consistency and the marketing side, and they struggled. I’ve also known sellers who had low-quality photos but had consistency and still struggled. You don’t need to be 10/10 in all of these facets to become a top seller, but a steady 7/10 in all of them will put you in the top 10%. I believe that!
I’m also very aware that looks are subjective and we’re all different shapes and sizes. I just so happen to be fairly slim, with a peachy ass and small boobs, which works well for me. I’ve seen sellers that are much bigger than me, with giant boobs, who absolutely smash it. There’s a market for everyone, which is honestly so cool! Whatever you believe is your unique selling point, you need to really highlight it. I’m aware that my previous two paragraphs may seem tangential, but they’re linked to the idea of losing your Mojo. Usually, there’s no rhyme or reason as to why you’ve had a sudden dip in sales. It could be that online buyers were lower than usual recently, it could be that you’ve spent a little less time active yourself, it could be a time of the month when buyers don’t have much money spare, it could be that you’re barking up the wrong tree, which is just unlucky, or it could be a combination of all of those and more!
I lose my Mojo a few times a year, and it was very, very difficult to deal with early on, but now I know that it’s a normal response. It humbles me and keeps me down to earth, which I love. The solution is very simple: focus on the four facets that I mentioned in the second paragraph, and as long as you keep them to a good standard, then you’re onto a winner. You haven’t lost your Mojo; it’s still there, but you’ve just been a victim of circumstances that were out of your control. It can’t always be plain sailing with no peaks and troughs, as that’s not realistic. Girls, concentrate on the four facets, and when you hit a dip, don’t panic or quit, as it will be over before you know it. Best of luck, and treat buyers with the love and respect that you’d like in return. I hope I’ve helped!
