If you’re a single mum thinking about starting ATW, or you’ve already started but feel like you’re constantly behind… this is for you.
Because let’s just say it straight. There is no “perfect time”.
There’s no quiet house, no uninterrupted hour, no magical routine where everything just flows.
There’s you, your baby, your responsibilities… and trying to squeeze something in for yourself in between it all.
And honestly, that’s exactly how I do ATW.
Not perfectly. Not consistently. But realistically.
Nap times are business hours.
I don’t sit down with a cute setup and plan content for hours. I work in chaos. If my baby naps, I’m straight on my phone replying to messages, posting content, and sorting orders. Sometimes I get 10 minutes. Sometimes 40 if I’m lucky. That’s my “work block”.
Evenings are for catching up… if I have the energy.
Once my baby is down, that’s when I could do more. But let’s be honest, sometimes I’m exhausted. So I’ve stopped putting pressure on myself to be “on it” every night. Some nights I post. Some nights I don’t. And I still make money!
I stopped trying to do everything.
At the start, I thought I needed constant content, perfect replies, loads of listings, and full consistency. That’s not realistic as a single mum. Now I focus on showing up when I can, keeping it simple, and actually selling instead of overthinking. Done is better than perfect in this game.
I use what I already have.
If I’m already wearing something all day, that’s content. If I’ve already taken a photo, I reuse it. If I’ve already had a chat, that can turn into a sale.
ATW fits into my life, not the other way around.
And the reason I still do it? Because it gives me flexibility, control, and extra money without leaving my baby. And as a single mum, that matters more than anything.
If you’re thinking about starting, don’t wait for things to calm down.
They won’t. Start messy. Start tired. Start with what you’ve got. Because even doing a little is better than doing nothing. And this can actually work around mum life, not against it 🫶
