Selling used lingerie and adult content online, you quickly discover there’s a certain type of buyer who thinks your inbox is an opportunity to lure you into freebies!

They have no intention of making a purchase, they want your attention and free kink chat. They usually already have their pants down around their ankles and respond slowly as they only have one hand free (if you get what I mean).😉

Initially, they slide into your inbox with innocent questions, then slowly steer the conversation into a never-ending bombardment of daft leading questions. And before you know it, you’ve spent an hour replying, keeping the conversation going and giving away your precious time, your energy and personality… while your Paypal remains unmoved.

The Biggest Tell-Tale Sign

They’re more interested in the conversation than the purchase.

They avoid talking about setting up an order. They keep pushing and prodding for more personal info. They constantly say “just wondering...” or “just one more question...”. They simply want your time and then Poof! they disappear when it comes to doing a transfer.

Protect Your Time and Trust Your Instincts

Remember! Your time is part of what you sell. Your attention, effort and creativity don’t come with a free unlimited chat pass.

Be firm but polite in your responses. This could save you tons of time and your sanity!

If your wee red flags are flying high say something like...

“Happy to answer questions about purchases, but I keep chats focused on customers who are ready to order. If you’d like to buy, you know where to find me”.

Keep it simple and professional, with no guilt.

Not everyone who messages is a potential buyer you can work with. Some are just window shoppers with a internet connection, a raging boner and too much spare time.

Learn skills to protect your boundaries and don’t be afraid to say no. Oh, and remember...a busy inbox doesn’t always mean a guaranteed sale. Sometimes, it just means you’ve accidentally opened the door to the time-wasters.

As sellers, our energy and time is valuable.

Spend it on the people who respect that!

As I'm not new to selling content I'm new to THIS site specifically and it's clientele so I do want to be open to messaging everyone but some it's just a joke! Absolute 🚮 of time. There are great buyers on here though! 😇 Just hard to find. It's also hard when we are learning the specific boundaries of this app and the people on it. I’m pretty new and to begin with you don’t want to push people away but after over a week of talking to someone, asking me all sorts, and to be honest, he was genuinely nice. But then as soon as I said I didn’t want to meet up so they could tickle my feet with various tools 😬 then the conversation suddenly stopped🙄! Bigger fool me for letting it go on that long I guess! Lesson learnt. I’m here to sell and run a business, not entertain people without getting paid for it! X
