When you’re new to panty selling (or when you’re new to any community) you tend to take some time to scope things out and see how it all works.

When you feel a little unsure as to what to do, your natural inclination is to follow the herd and do what everyone else is doing.

That’s science. Us humans want to be part of the group and fit in.

That usually means checking out other seller’s profiles. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a look but don’t be surprised if some sellers have their account on private. A lot of sellers can feel frustrated with having their profile copied.

Personally, I don’t mind if sellers want to take a look at how I do things. For me, nobody can compete with me for being me. I bring my own unique individual personality to what I do and THAT is what I sell with. If someone copied me word for word (which they have), I tend to brush it off and remind myself that people that fake it don’t tend to last long – in any industry!

But here’s the thing:

When everyone is doing the same thing in the same way and posting the same things... it can all become very SAMEY!

And if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that us sellers are all different.

Every single one of us is unique.

Imagine you went on to Instagram and every single post was the same or roughly the same. It wouldn’t be all that much fun to hang out on, right?

Now, I’m not going to say that the same goes for buyers. It may a little but I’m willing to wager that most are quite happy with what they see on the dashboard page.

But, when everyone is the same, how do you make a buying decision?

Buyers can spend a lot of time on the site but what makes it easier to decide to buy from you is if you stand out for a reason they’re attracted to.

I’m not talking about full nudity here!! I’m talking about some personality or vibe. A certain something that magnetises them to your profile and has them aching to find out more about what you offer.

My advice to sellers is to allow some of what’s unique about them to come through in their profile, their pics, their postings and their offerings.

Don’t be afraid to stand out and allow some of your personality to shine through! Yes, there’s a chance that some buyers may not like what you’re all about, but the truth is when you try to appeal to everyone you can end up appealing to nobody (well, maybe not nobody!).

There’s such a thing as calling in the customers that you want to work with. That starts with defining what you are here to sell and what makes you different. They call that a USP (unique selling point).

It makes things far more interesting for your buyers who are looking for ways to connect with you.

But hey, whilst we’re at it, the same goes for buyers. It’s nice for us sellers to learn a little about you too. Please add a little to your profile to help create more of a community feel. You don’t have to just state what you’re here for (although that’s useful to know to see if we can help you), you can give us some more insight into what you’re all about. How do you spend your days? What hobbies or kinks do you have?

Allowing more of our personality to shine through our profiles (buyers and sellers) can only help to add to the overall experience and pleasure of buying and selling on All Things Worn.

So, take some time to think about how you can inject more of your unique personality into your business and dare to be different and stand out a little.
