Selling on the Spectrum: My Experience Selling Panties as an LGBT+ Seller

Hello lovely readers! My name is Diana and you’ve probably seen me around, if not then this could be a good introduction!

In honour of pride month, I thought it might be interesting to write a blog post about my experiences selling panties as an LGBT+ seller, more specifically an asexual seller and perhaps provide some education on just one of the countless sexualities that exist in the world.

With all that being said, I can only speak for my own experiences and journey so with that in mind let’s get started.

What is Asexuality?

If you ask twenty different people what being asexual means to them you’ll probably get twenty different answers but asexuality is most commonly defined as “The lack of sexual attraction to others, or low or absent interest in or desire for sexual activity.”

Simply put, this means that asexual people don’t experience much, or indeed any, sexual attraction to others.

This doesn’t mean we have no libido or can’t enjoy intimacy, masturbation or have kinks, fantasies or fulfilling relationships with others. Like with all communities of people, everyone has different experiences and are comfortable with different things.

Some people may have a high libido but prefer masturbation to partnered sex and others may want to remain completely celibate, sexuality is a spectrum and people exist on every part of it!

So Why Panty Selling?

Living in a society where sex and sexuality are very much present and a topic explored across all forms of media, coupled with the rise of online subscription services and fetish selling sites during the pandemic, it was only a matter of time before I was introduced to the world of online fetish work.

After researching the worn item business for some months prior to joining ATW, I had my doubts at first whether I could commit enough of my time and energy to selling online as it is definitely hard work to establish yourself in the community as a reliable seller and build up clientele. It took a few weeks of building my online presence before making my first sale but once it happened I was hooked!

I started selling my used underwear online for multiple reasons, one of the main ones being I really enjoyed the idea of someone getting off to my items and experiencing a part of me without me having to be physically present.

Knowing I have the ability to provide a great sexual experience for someone from across the world is empowering in a way I could never have imagined and when I get positive feedback about my services it gives me such a boost in confidence!

Sure, I might not be sitting on the feed and getting horny from seeing everyone’s posts but that doesn’t take away the fact that I genuinely enjoy this work and get turned on from it. I only offer the services that make me feel this way so that both buyers and myself get the most out of the experience.

This is why I don’t openly advertise nudity or videos, for example, this might be different for some buyers who I have a great connection with but ultimately what I feel comfortable doing is highly dependent on the relationship I have with the buyer I’m chatting with.

I can log on, work and log off again without getting distracted by sexy photos posted by sellers and the often-titillating conversations that happen daily.

On the other hand, I find creating adverts and marketing myself in a sexually appealing way to be difficult because I don’t naturally know what others find attractive and it can be hard to get myself into that headspace.

In the early days of my selling journey I had my reservations about whether or not I would fit in with the panty selling community at first because of how different I felt from other sellers.

And while this is the first time announcing my sexuality to anyone, not in my close personal friend group, I’ve experienced nothing but positivity from buyers and sellers in my time here and hopefully that continues to be the case going forward!

After a solid 6 months of selling online I have come across so many kindhearted, generous people who have made me feel nothing but welcome and the community that ATW has fostered is a credit to the admin team who work so hard to keep this a safe, fun place for kinksters from all walks of life to enjoy and I certainly hope to be around for many more months to come!
