When I first started selling on All Things Worn, one of the biggest decisions I had to make was whether or not to show my face. It’s something a lot of sellers think about and honestly in my personal opinion there’s no right or wrong choice. But for me, choosing to show my face in my personal experience has definitely helped me here.
Showing my face for me helped create a stronger sense of trust with buyers. Buyers aren’t just purchasing an item, they’re buying into a connection and a personality. Which can make a big difference, especially on a site where trust matters.
There are thousands of amazing sellers out there, so anything that helps you stand out is a plus. Showing my face helped people start to recognise me, return for repeat purchases and engage more with my posts on the dash.
I won’t pretend it was easy at first. Putting yourself out there can feel intimidating. But even in the short time I’ve been on here my confidence has grown so much. It helped me become more comfortable in my own skin and more in control of how I present myself.
One thing that’s really important is remembering that showing your face doesn’t mean giving up control. You still decide what you share with a buyer, how much you want to show to a buyer and how you interact with buyers. Clear boundaries are key. Being a face seller doesn’t mean you have to be available 24/7 or accept every request at the end of the day, it's still your space and your rules.
For me, yes 100%. It’s brought more engagement, more loyal buyers and a stronger sense of identity as a seller. But it’s also something you should only do if you feel comfortable and ready for it because I do understand the risks and potential downside of showing my face in the future.
Whether you show your face or not, success on All Things Worn comes down to authenticity, consistency and knowing your worth. Showing your face is just one way to express that but it can be a powerful one if it fits your style. At the end of the day, it’s about what makes you feel confident and in control.
