The Nymph Queen: A Fantasy Story

Seller The Nymph Queen: A Fantasy Story

Nobody hunted the Nymph Queen. They prayed she wouldn't notice them.

Lyra wasn't merely a nymph. She was the nymph. Ancient. Immortal. A creature born from moonlight, desire, and wild magic. Kings had abandoned thrones for her. Wars had started because of her smile. Entire dynasties had collapsed after one night in her presence.

And honestly? She found it amusing.

Prince Kaelen was born cursed. Not with madness. Not with darkness. Not with death. But with hunger.

A relentless, aching hunger that lived beneath his skin.

As a child, he didn't understand it.

As a man, it became unbearable.

No feast could satisfy it. No magic could quiet it. No lover could ease it. The hunger always returned. Stronger. Sharper. Crueler.

It haunted his dreams. It followed him through every lonely night.

While others desired companionship, Kaelen desired connection—a primal, consuming bond that his soul seemed incapable of finding.

The royal healers called it a curse.

The priests called it a punishment.

The witches called it fate.

None could cure it.

Until an ancient oracle finally spoke the truth.

"There is one being whose touch can soothe what devours you."

The Nymph Queen.

An immortal creature born from desire itself. Ancient. Dangerous. Uncontrollable. A woman so intoxicating that kingdoms had fallen trying to possess her.

"Stay away from her," the oracle warned. "She will become your obsession."

But Kaelen barely heard the warning.

Because for the first time in his life, merely hearing her name made the hunger quiet.

For the first time...

He could breathe.

And from that moment on, he knew.

The Nymph Queen was not his temptation.

She was his salvation.

Or his ruin.

Perhaps both.

Prince Kaelen had been warned. Repeatedly.

Stay away from the Nymph Queen.

Do not speak to her.

Do not look into her eyes.

And above all, do not let her become interested in you.

Unfortunately, when Lyra first saw him, she became very interested.

The prince was standing alone on a palace balcony when a voice purred behind him.

"You're prettier than the last king."

Kaelen froze.

Slowly turning.

There she stood.

Barefoot.

Moonlit.

Smiling like a catastrophe.

"You know," she said, circling him slowly, "most men fall to their knees when they meet me."

Kaelen raised an eyebrow.

"Should I?"

"No." Her smile widened. "I prefer a challenge."

For the first time in centuries, Lyra felt something unfamiliar.

Curiosity.

Everyone wanted her.

Everyone chased her.

Everyone surrendered.

But Kaelen?

He looked at her like she was a storm.

Beautiful.

Deadly.

Worth getting destroyed for.

Fear of rejection Prince Kaelen sealed away his true emotions.

"You should leave."

His voice was calm.

Controlled.

Careful.

Lyra stepped closer.

Close enough to feel his heartbeat quicken.

"You don't want me to."

The prince's jaw tightened.

The tiniest crack in his composure.

And Lyra immediately noticed.

Predators always noticed weakness.

"Oh," she whispered. "There you are."

For the first time all night, Kaelen looked nervous.

Is this going to be the moment I have been yearning for? Prince Kaelen thought.

The oracle had been wrong about one thing.

The Nymph Queen did not ruin Prince Kaelen.

She saved him.

The night they finally surrendered to the bond between them, the heavens themselves seemed to tremble.

Ancient magic surged through the forests of Eldoria, rivers overflowed their banks, and every magical creature felt the shift.

For the first time since his birth, the hunger inside Kaelen fell silent.

Completely.

No ache.

No emptiness.

No endless craving clawing at his soul.

Only peace.

As he lay beside the Nymph Queen beneath a sky filled with silver stars, Kaelen finally understood why fate had bound them together.

She wasn't merely his cure.

She was the missing half of a story written long before either of them were born.

And somewhere in the darkness, the gods watched in silence.

Because the most powerful nymph in existence and the prince cursed with endless hunger had finally become one.

And the world would never be the same again. 🖤🌙✨

VeronaLucia I ask atw if i could also share shorts fantasy story and it wasn't a issue it went true the judging process , i rather do want to have a separate category . This story is not for selling a book or anything it popped in my mind and started typing , . Did not think they would publish it 🙈🙉🙊 to be very honoust. But nice to know some people like it. Not sorry for the story , I do agree that it belongs in a different category made for fantasy fiction.

HonVaz Im sorry but WTAF

StellasSultryStash I do wonder whether ATW needs separate categories for community blogs and creative writing. Both have value, but they're very different types of content and attract different readers. More broadly, the recent blogs seem to be moving away from sharing genuine experiences and practical advice from sellers with established experience and insight on ATW. It's also difficult to view advice or opinion pieces as authoritative when they're coming from profiles that have only been on the platform for around three weeks and don't yet have any visible reviews or an established track record here. I'd love to see the community blog showcase the knowledge and lived experiences of sellers who have built that experience over time, rather than becoming a platform that appears to favour content written for exposure over content that genuinely adds value to the community.

LucylouHighSchoolTeacher Thanks for sharing your creative fantasy story! However, blogs in this community are normally centered on personal experiences, selling advice, and support for buying and selling online businesses. I’m not sure how this particular story connects to that focus. Are you looking to promote fiction stories here, or is there a business/selling angle I might be missing? Any clarification would be appreciated! X
