Creating an order clarifies an understanding between two parties. Firstly, this must be agreed by both in conversation.
Sellers, when completing an online order form you need to understand this procedure is a written (typed) consensual agreement. You are forming a contract.
You need to be factual, clear & concise with what you have discussed with your buyer. The terms need to be added to the section (additional information) so the buyer fully understands what he is paying for.
Example: You have agreed to purchase xyz.. With the added extras of.... 1234 Payment is required within (24hours.. failure to complete will result in this order being cancelled & the risk of receiving a negative review)
Once you have made full payment please complete this order with your full postal details etc.. FYI, by form of payment you have accepted & in agreement with our transaction. I don't offer refunds unless I can not fulfill due to unprecedented circumstances. Most of all Thank you for choosing me..
This seems quite clinical but trust me.. it protects you and the buyer in any event a disagreement occurs! This is evidence for the admin to adjudicate.
Now there's always that complex order.
Example: Buyer would like to purchase an item but can't pay till payday but is prepared to pay a deposit!!
You create an order. The order must outline your terms & conditions.. Here's mine: You have agreed to pay a non refundable deposit of £££ to be paid in 24hours to secure the item. A balance of ££££ must be paid by *date agreed*. Failure to make payment by the agreed date will mean you have lost your deposit & no longer have the opportunity to own my saved item. Your order will be cancelled if you fail to make payment.
(You could face being reported to the admin & a negative review) If full payment is received I will prepare your order ! Please provide me with your full postal details so I can update you..
Thank you.
You can use my ideas or your own words.
Buyers, please also take note that an order set out like this is for your own protection, too!!
I hope this short informative blog helps you to express your terms & makes life easier. Happy selling/buying!
