I wanted to talk about something that feels a little scary, but also feels so good once you do it!.. Changing up your profile and giving it a glow up. Even if just a mini one
I’ll be honest with you, when I first thought about refreshing my profile, I was terrified.
For a long time, my photos and bio leaned heavily into the BBW aesthetic that had built my little corner on All Things Worn. A lot of my loyal buyers were drawn to that specific version of me, and I was scared that if I showed a more authentic, evolved version of myself, they would disappear. What if the new photos felt “too different”? What if I lost the very people who had supported me from the beginning?
That fear kept me stuck for months. I kept using slightly outdated pictures because they were safe. I worried that showing my current changing body, my current style, or even just a different energy would make my BBW loving fans move away and never come back.
I was no longer really a BBW, but my body shows I use to be with excess skin and nothing even close to a flawless figure. But here’s what I discovered.. staying the same out of fear was slowly draining the joy out of what I do. I was so close to giving up, despite being so proud of where I had come.
The moment I finally decided to be brave and update my profile with fresh photos that actually reflected who I am right now, something surprising happened. Yes, a few people who were only attached to my old look quietly moved on and that’s okay. What surprised me is that many more stayed. And the ones who stayed? They stayed because they connected with me, not just a frozen image from the past that is no longer me.
So if fear is holding you back, remind yourself… The buyers who are meant for the real you will stay. The ones who leave were never meant, or deserve to follow your glow up.
You know that little voice that whispers, “What if they don’t like the new me?” Yeah, I have had it for weeks now! Shut that voice down right now. Spoiler alert.. Here’s the truth. The most beautiful profiles on this platform aren’t the “perfect” ones. They’re the ones that scream this is me, right now, unfiltered and unapologetic not giving a f**k.
Your profile is your book's front page. It’s the first and sometimes only impression buyers get before they even message you. If it’s still rocking photos from two years ago, different hair, different vibe, maybe even a different you sorry babe it’s like showing up to a party in last year's look while feeling completely different inside. I'm not judging, I am not perfect, I have been there too.
Life moves. Bodies change. Styles evolve. Moods shift. And that’s beautiful. A profile glow up isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about finally letting the real you step into the spotlight. Updating your profile is one of the easiest, most powerful ways to do exactly that. I don't know why it took me so long!
It's not been long since I had a glow up and here's what I found out…
You attract the right people. The ones who vibe with today’s you, not yesterday’s version. This means more fun, orders you find exciting and buyers that get you
Your confidence skyrockets. There’s something so exciting about hitting “save” on a profile that finally feels like home. No more trying to be the old you, it's so freeing!
Your listings get more love. Fresh photos = A LOT more views, more messages, more sales as well as more genuine buyers and other sellers interacting with you.
You give yourself permission to evolve. Every new photo is a little love letter to the person you’re becoming and a new page to your story. You are accepting you being you.
I am not saying go out and get a professional photographer or a pricey camera set up. You just need to let go, be yourself and see the beauty in what you are becoming.
Be Yourself loudly, Wear what actually feels good right now. The outfit that makes you feel unstoppable, why is your ass not already in it?
Snap New Photos That Actually Feel Like You. Try out different angles, poses and get to know yourself again. Let your face show your mood, and let your personality shine through those eyes.
Update Your Bio While You’re At It. A quick alteration and change up of a few words can really make a huge difference. Reading a fresh bio really made me feel my profile is me right at the moment… not someone I was a few months ago.
Hit post and don't overthink it. Post the photos, update the profile, and walk away for a bit. The compliments and messages that roll in will do the rest. Overthink and you just get into your own head, you shouldn't be your worst enemy criticising everything but your best friend and biggest supporter
Refreshing your profile is more than maintenance. You’re practicing self acceptance. You’re saying, “I’m allowed to change. I’m allowed to grow. I’m allowed to be me”
And that energy? It spills into every part of your life. I promise!
It's like a huge weight has been lifted, and everyone sees that.
Now go be unapologetically you.
