If you’re a seller on ATW, you’ve probably done it.
Checked someone else’s reviews. Compared them to yours. Wondered what they’re doing that you’re not.
Every seller says they don’t care about reviews… but let’s be honest, most of us check them far more than we’d like to admit.
I know I do.
Sometimes I notice someone has more than me. Sometimes mine are higher than someone else’s. Either way, it’s strange how that little number next to your name can suddenly start feeling like it defines your entire success on the platform.
But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realised something important:
Reviews don’t actually tell the full story.
Someone can leave a review after spending $5.
Someone else might spend $150 on a custom order.
Both count as one review.
So when you see someone with more reviews, it doesn’t actually tell you what they’ve earned or how successful they really are.
Another thing reviews don’t properly show is repeat customers.
I’ve had people leave one review and then come back again and again. They continue to support me, place more orders, and build a connection over time. That loyalty doesn’t increase the review number.
Yes, there’s a “multiple orders” tag, but it still only counts as one review.
So when we compare review numbers, we’re often comparing something that doesn’t reflect the real picture.
Everyone’s Situation Is Different
Another thing I have to remind myself is that everyone’s life looks different behind the screen.
Some sellers can do this full-time.
Some have children or family responsibilities.
Some are completely new and still figuring everything out.
And in my case, I’m disabled, which means I physically can’t put in the same hours as someone else might be able to.
So of course some people will have more sales, more reviews, and more activity.
But that doesn’t mean anyone else is doing worse.
It just means we’re all working with different time, energy, and circumstances.
Experience Plays a Bigger Role Than You Think
This isn’t something you just instantly “get”.
There’s a learning curve to all of this. You have to figure out:
How to promote yourself
How to price your content
How to talk to buyers
How to understand what people actually want
And even when you think you’ve figured it out, something new always comes along and you’re learning again.
If someone has experience in this industry already, they’re naturally going to grow faster.
That doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong—it just means you’re still building.
Your Niche Matters More Than Your Reviews
This is one of the biggest things people forget:
We’re not all selling the same thing.
Some people like slim.
Some people like curvy.
Some prefer blondes, brunettes, or redheads.
Some want dominant energy.
Some want the “girl next door”.
Some like natural.
Some like shaved.
Some like roleplay.
There are so many different preferences.
So comparing yourself to someone else doesn’t always make sense, because you could be appealing to a completely different type of buyer.
The Fish and Chip Shop Problem
The easiest way to explain it is this:
It’s like owning a fish and chip shop and getting annoyed that the Indian takeaway across the road is making more money.
That doesn’t mean your food is bad.
It might just mean more people in that area are craving Indian food.
Different audience. Different demand.
Sometimes it’s not about you at all—it’s just about market fit.
What Actually Matters
At the end of the day, we’re all doing the best we can with what we have.
The time we have.
The abilities we have.
The experience we have.
We’re all trying to build something and survive in the same world.
Reviews don’t define that.
What really matters is:
The progress you make
What you learn along the way
The sales you build
The repeat customers who come back
The relationships you create with the people who support you
That’s the real success.
And I’ll be honest…
I still look at reviews.
I still catch myself obsessing over them sometimes.
I’m only human.
But when I do, I try to take a step back and remind myself that I am doing well.
I’m achieving what I can within my abilities and working towards my own goals.
And at the end of the day, that’s what really matters.

HonVaz Great blog. Multiple reviews arent possible cos you review the BUYER/SELLER not the tranaction. You can update reviews if you want to
OhhHhAnjie I do this alot..
Forgetmeknot I absolutely LOVE this 👏🏼 definitely something I need to remind myself of quite often, and needed today 💕
Sharnxo Really such an great informative read✅very well worded👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💕
Sierra_Tango_Romeo_Alpha_8 So true gorgeous also some use it as a side hustle. A bit of fun from irl work xxx. I find that what matters most is quality over quantity when it comes to reviews xxx
CurvyBustyBella Very true and a nice reminder x
JodyHorn Thanks again everyone for your kind words 💕
MessyDomFeet Thank you for sharing your experience & insights … great read 💛💛💛
Brownie69 @JodyHorn, this blog is amazing and so true, we’re all on the same journey, just on different paths ❤️
MissJessicaaaRabbit Really needed to read this today ❤️
Naughtylittlenina99 Brilliant blog. I needed this today x
Madame_Frankenstein P.s great blog, definitely food for thought.
Madame_Frankenstein I only care about reviews for 1 reason... im obsessed about looking at reviews before purchasing things, even y o u tube reviews, In my mind I imagine a buyer doing the same, even if this sounds stupid as we arent 'items' but thats what I always think. I dont really compare myself to other sellers because you dont know what a buyers preference is once they join.
TallTemptation93 Love this! So true ❤️
Slapstick I’m nearing 70 panty purchases with one seller and it kills me inside that I can’t leave her multiple reviews. I would review every experience if I could! I’m one of those weirdos who looked forward to writing reviews. My mentality was “I’m going to give this seller the best review she’s ever received!”
Freya_Knickalicious Needed to see this today thank you! 😘 xx
JodyHorn @K332 no problem, I find tbh every day is different, nothing is the same, I work in so many categories and I enjoy them all and the broadness of choices, it makes every day different and exciting. The only time I re-sell content is when customers ask for premade, I'm glad you enjoyed the read and it's nice to see so many different insights! Xx
K332 Personally as a buyer I prefer less reviews cause it feels like they've chosen the best kind of people to work with and make content for, I've only worked with newer sellers eg less than 20 reviews just because I feel that If they want to work with me it'll be more personalized than getting content that the seller has already done 7 times that day for someone else, while I personally don't have reviews I have sellers that I've made over 10 repeat orders with so thank you for this blog it was very insightful ❤️
JodyHorn Its so great to see so many points of view and different experiences people have had, also I'm very happy if this read has helped a few people feel a bit kinder towards themselves today 🩷
Missembervex Well done darling!
It is so difficult not to feel the pressures, and compare yourself. I certainly do on so many levels. Sales haven’t been great, I’m working my ass off and wondering what the hell am I doing wrong?! What do I need to change? I still don’t have the answer but perseverance is key. I will keep being my bubbly crazy self as the people that love that will find me 🩷
MissSweetNightmare Amazing blog 👏
Most of my buyers are ones I've worked with a long time and sometimes I have gaps for weeks between reviews and I worry it looks like I'm not making sales but at the end of the day, a lot of buyers don't even like to leave reviews. Kind of like when we buy something we don't leave reviews on amazon, we'll I don't 😅
It's important to not get caught up in numbers as it will just drive you crazy. We all have stuff going on and sometimes the best sales us sellers get are when we aren't at the "top" review or score wise ❤️
Bbw_babe_uk @WetNsmelly86 nope haven’t asked why - he also prefers I don’t put our orders through the system, and with the amount they total to my % could well be higher (but nowhere near 0.1% lol)
but again I’m just trying not to focus on those numerical statistics because that’s when I compare mine to other sellers ! Now I just use my notes app for everything and that way I’m comparing my own statistics and not comparing myself to others 🩷
WetNsmelly86 @Bbw_babe_uk did you ask him why?
Rubylovexxxx @Bbw_babe_uk I agree valuing regular buyers is extremely important and I have some buyers with me since day one, high reviews though doesn't always mean high income but that depends on the seller as you need to remember a lot of buyers don't review, without going into my personal stats here 😂for some sellers half their sales may not be reviewed. It's swings and roundabouts really, ultimately as long you're doing well for you that's all that counts and we do it in different ways
Bbw_babe_uk @Rubylovexxxx absolutely! I was going to mention that I have a regular who has spent hundreds just the last two months - hasn’t left me a review. It doesn’t bother me but it’s something I used to look at and fixate on! for some reason I’d compare the amount of reviews to amount of time on the site, and compare myself and it did a real negative number on my mental health. make sure to take care of yourself everyone 🩷
Bbw_babe_uk it took me a while to realise high reviews *doesn’t* = high income. valuing regular buyers over small sales has massively improved my success to where I don’t set goals for review milestones like I used to. although will admit I notice other sellers and sometimes compare. I think it’s a natural instinct but you must always remind & reassure yourself 🩷
OliviaLane Love it!!!
Bbw_babe_uk loved this read and can totally relate ❤️
Adriana123 This is good, I agree 100% everything you said ❤️❤️❤️
Goddessoftemptation Very well written. It would be nice if buyers were able to leave multiple reviews because I have had some come back over and over again for more orders.
Cherrybabyx absolutely love this take! some sellers might complete more orders with one off buyers, whereas others might have more regular buyers instead of hundreds of reviews and theres nothing wrong with either one. it can be easy to get upset about it though when one’s hard work isnt appreciated or even acknowledged with a simple one sentence review about the service. however at the end of the day, we’re all unique and beautiful in our own way and navigate this site differently 🥰
Ryliex this is such a good read 🫶🏻made me feel a whole lot better 🥹
Rubylovexxxx I just want to add too if you’re a girl that naturally got lots of reviews when you first started and it built up like it happened for me, nothing wrong with that too, either way is ok ❤️
XGothicxGoddessx So good!!! 🖤✨️
Rubylovexxxx I absolutely loved this and this coming from someone with a lot of reviews, when you’re over a certain “safe” amount buyers don’t care about the rest. And your niche is the most important thing and let’s be honest the cash that comes in. I’ll never devalue reviews though as I worked my ass off for all of them and mine come from big and small orders but the main thing is your niche, like you mentioned as we are all in different areas so never compare. Loved this ❤️
Summersubstoday This is great, lots of good points. Controversial comment? What I love is the way this really is not just a reminder to take reviews with a pinch of salt, but also a rallying cry to ATW to upgrade/improve the ratings system more? So people are scored more accurately and fairly? I think they just saw it as a blog 🤣 but what they have there, in a product sense, is a user story for their backlog ;)
JodyHorn Thank you everyone one for sharing your experiences and appreciation 💕 xxx
CherryCrush What a great read! Ty babes 🫶🏻
WetNsmelly86 @CurvyJadeyXO post post post every hour on the dash post something. The more they see you the more money you make.
WetNsmelly86 I'll be the first to say it.. I care about reviews. If a buyer doesn't leave me one I remove one star from theirs and say why. I agree I wish multiple reviews were allowed because I've had buyers work with me for years on here. I do also look at others reviews. Sometimes I want to know what went wrong if I had to 🚧 someone or something like that. Also the amount of reviews I should have compared to the orders I did is less than half. It was like a competition here when I started. Everyone was nice and helpful but you knew you had to get your numbers up to survive. It's not that bad now so I'm more relaxed after being here for so long. I'm rambling but thank you for your post.
Morgana18 So well said, thank you for reminding me how things really stand and how not to compare to others based on reviews, as we all have different backgrounds and responsibilities aside from this platform ♥️
Miss_Belle I love my regulars rather than a ‘hit and run’ review but if it makes any of you gorgeous sellers stop worrying about not having enough reviews then enjoy your early days as when I was new on here I was inundated with orders and the money came fast…the more reviews I got the less orders and the more TW I’ve had 🤷🏻♀️ You do you girls and don’t ’compare and despair’ 💋xx
Stepmommyanna Great read!
T4boo4u Wow so true! Thanks for writing this and sharing it. It definitely helps to know i am not alone. Now back to navigating and learning 💜
ZakiraTheGoddess Very wise words, thank you ♥️
It’s honestly reassuring to know I’m not the only one who cares about reviews—especially when you’re putting real time, effort, and love into what you do. The support from our regular and repeat buyers truly means everything and is something I’m so grateful for 🙌
It really does only take a minute to leave a review, but it makes a huge difference us sellers. Every bit of feedback helps us grow and keep improving 💫
Final note: I’m just ONE review away from 20… if anyone would like to be my 20th, that would honestly make my day 🫶🏾🤣
CurvyJadeyXO I’m finding it a little bit of a vicious cycle - trying to build reviews but I think some people see a fairly low number of reviews and get put off. So my question is - how on earth do you get more reviews to start with 😵💫 xx
Pleasureseeker This’d never happen, but I wish there was a way of it showing how much the buyer/seller has spent/received. Or an average order value. This would mean people who harvest the reviews/purchases for £5 can be highlighted. Nothing wrong with that, but it might make people feel a bit better. As I say, it’ll never happen.
Demoness This is very true! I have struggled to gain new reviews over the past couple of weeks and felt frustrated and sad but like you state- repeat buyers! 🥰
JessLittleFeet This an absolutely great read! 🩵 thank you so much for bringing it to people’s attention! Xx
TLP84 As a newbie this helps. I try not to obsess or live by comparison but it happens. Thanks for the reminder to just be. ❤️
Hor0069 Needed this today 🖤
Well done! Great blog 💋
DominAdoratriZ Oooor even worst, the "sellers" that get fa ke reviews...? Ali can tell names 🤭.... Yes, the obsession for this can be terrifying
DominAdoratriZ What about the sc@mers that lets your first review as 1*???! Lollll and then get ban ned, but you still got your only review....??!
JodyHorn @YourSecretBrunette thank you, I know it can be disheartening, but I do really appreciate the sellers that go into detail and share their experience, it makes my day to know I've done a great job! 💖
YourSecretBrunette Very well written! I find myself obsessed with wanting reviews and it’s not so much what they say or how many I have, it is a respect thing for me. Giving the most intimate parts of myself to someone who can’t even take one minute afterwards to show appreciation by leaving a review 💔
